Early reports mentioned a suspicious device that was spotted near his body, prompting the bomb squad to be called in. The package was eventually removed from the scene, and it was later described as insignificant by the District Attorney. It could be coincidental that the shootout occurred across the street from the Harrisburg Masjid.

Local speculation suggests that this attack may be retaliation for the recent sentencing of Jalil Ibn Ameer Aziz who was convicted of helping ISIS in Harrisburg.

The extent of Ahmed Aminamin El-Mofty’s motive remains under FBI investigation. It is clear that he was directly targeting Police. The attack occurred 3 days before Christmas on the last busy weekday in the city prior to the holiday.

U.S. Army sergeant indicted in Hawaii on charges of trying to help Islamic State

(Reuters) – A U.S. Army sergeant stationed in Hawaii has been indicted on charges of trying to provide material support to Islamic State, allowing the case to move to a federal trial without a preliminary hearing, officials said on Saturday.

Ikaika Erik Kang, 34, is being held in jail and is scheduled to appear in court in Honolulu on Monday to face charges. He was arrested on July 8.

The indictment, from a U.S. grand jury, accuses the military air traffic controller of four counts of attempting to provide material support or resources to a “foreign terrorist organization.”

Islamic State, a militant group that has claimed responsibility for suicide bombings and other attacks on civilians around the world, controls territory in Syria and Iraq. Earlier this month, Iraq’s prime minister declared victory in a battle to drive Islamic State out of the city of Mosul. [nL8N1K12DD]

Kang’s arrest followed a year-long probe involving undercover agents and other “confidential human sources” who posed as Islamic State operatives and sympathizers, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

He is accused of trying to provide classified military documents, a small drone and training in firearms and hand-to-hand combat to people he thought were associated with Islamic State, according to court documents. The alleged contact occurred in June and July, court papers state.

He also swore allegiance to Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, FBI officials have said.

If convicted, Kang faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison on each criminal count, the U.S. Department of Justice said in a statement.

His attorney, Birney Bervar, has said Kang was suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder or other mental problems the Army failed to address after he returned from deployments to Iraq in 2011 and Afghanistan in 2014. FBI agents exploited those mental issues when they targeted him in the undercover operation, Bervar told reporters earlier this month. [nL1N1K11SO]

Bervar could not be reached for comment on Saturday.

Kang was raised in Waimanalo, Hawaii, according to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

New York, Maryland and Ohio State websites hacked with ISIS propaganda

“You will be held accountable Trump,” text on the landing page said, “you and all your people for every drop of blood flowing in Muslim countries.”
“I Love Islamic state,” it said.
A group calling itself Team System DZ, apparently hacked numerous state websites, including first lady Karen Kasich’s website and the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections website. Those pages displayed the same message that Kasich’s did. In addition to the pro-ISIS language, a line appeared on each page that said “Hacked by Team System DZ.”
It was not immediately clear who the group was or whether it was genuinely affiliated with ISIS.
Kasich’s staff said Sunday that they were aware of the hack and working to resolve the issue. They’d been working on the hack on the Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections website when they were alerted to their own hack.
State Treasurer Josh Mandel posted about the Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections website on his Facebook. “Wake up freedom-loving Americans,” he said. “Radical Islam infiltrating the heartland.”
The FBI’s Ohio field office would neither confirm nor deny whether Team System DZ was a known entity to them.

OPEN MESSAGE TO KATHY GRIFFIN:

Kathy,

I don’t know where you got the idea that the Trump family is trying to ruin your life or your career, or that President Trump sent the Secret Service to investigate you. Don’t be paranoid. You’re not that important to him. He has a country to run and a huge mess to clean up after 8 years of failed Liberal policies and corruption.

Besides, it wasn’t President Trump who sent the Secret Service after you – it was US, his Conservative constituents.

The Secret Service was inundated with hundreds of calls within the first few hours of you posting your photo of you holding a gory ISIS-esque beheaded image of our President. And all of US were demanding that you be investigated and arrested.

Then we went after all of your scheduled venues; thousands of US, calling and emailing each and every one of them. We asked that they cancel your shows because of your disgusting ISIS-inspired picture displaying a bloody and beheaded President Trump. It went WAY past bad taste and you deserve the repercussions of your actions.

We are all well aware of your hatred of President Trump and his family by statements you have made in the past, and too many of US felt you had crossed the line this time.

President Trump didn’t ask or tell anyone to take you down or break you. It was you, Kathy, you pushed US too far. An attack on our President is an attack on every person who voted for him and believe in him, something I’m sure you couldn’t possibly understand.

You represent the embodiment of hatred and hypocrisy which now seems to steer the Left, and an overwhelming number of Americans are sick and tired of it. It was US who stepped up and held you accountable. The same people who are abandoning the mainstream media as a result of their endless, unfounded attacks on OUR President.

Want a perfect example of a stark reality demonstrating HOW FED UP we are with Liberals and what they stand for ??
– LOOK at the ratings decline of CNN over the last 5 years.
– Then LOOK at the revenues of Chick-fil-A over the last 5 years.

You, Kathy – and people like you – seem repulsed by slogans like “AMERICA FIRST” – “SECURE OUR BORDER” – “ALL LIVES MATTER” – and many other phrases which only reflect common sense. We elected President Trump because we want to live in a country that IS defined by its laws and its borders. We elected President Trump because we want a strong leader who puts the safety and well-being of Americans FIRST and does NOT apologize for America. We elected President Trump because we – the hard-working tax-paying AMERICAN CITIZENS – were FED UP with Washington DC insiders and politics as usual.

Out of our love and support of President Trump – it was US who took you down, Kathy – just average everyday people; cops, plumbers, housewives, business owners, carpenters, secretaries, stock brokers, realtors, doctors, nurses, farmers, ranchers, etc.

We civilly and bloodlessly annihilated you because you deserved it and THAT’S HOW CONSERVATIVES ROLL.

Signed,
WE THE PEOPLE

ISIS War On Europe – 13 Attacks in 2 years

Update: ISIS Affiliates Overtake southern Philippines Island of Mindanao

Europe has endured 13 terrorist attacks in the last 2 years.

Manchester terror attack: May 22 2017

Update: Manchester suicide bomber Salman Abedi likely received some ISIS training by traveling to Syria in the months before the bombing, according to information gathered in the preliminary investigation into the attack, a US official said Thursday. The US believes ISIS, through this training, set the stage for him to carry out his attack. Other members of Abedi’s family are believed to have been radicalized as well, the official said.

Five people have been arrested in connection with the Manchester bombing undertaken by Salman Abedi, including the suspect’s brother, Hashem, who is suspected of having links to ISIS.

But even outside of the network after which the police are hunting, details are emerging that Abedi has been steeped for years in radical Islamic extremism…in his own home.

Sources have produced an account of the Abedi family stretching back to their roots in Libya, where Salman’s father, Ramadan, was a member of a group now linked to Al-Qaeda:

…the elder Abedi was a member of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group in the 1990s. The group had links to Al Qaeda.

Although the LIFG disbanded, Haroun said the father belongs to the Salafi Jihadi movement, the most extreme sect of Salafism and from which Al Qaeda and the Islamic State group hail. Haroun added that Abedi, also known as Abu Ismail, had returned to the Libyan capital of Tripoli.

The LIFG was founded in 1995, and was involved in attempts to assassinate then-Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi as well as violent clashes with Benghazi police. In 2002, a senior LIFG commander, Anas al-Libi, who also was a companion of Al Qaeda founder Usama bin Laden, was detained by U.S. forces for his role in the 1998 bombings of the American Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, which killed more than 200 people.

Eventually Ramadan made the decision to immigrate to London, where he settled in south Manchester, where they had lived for at least a decade.

South Philippines Overrun by Terrorist Group Affiliated with ISIS

MANILA — President Rodrigo Duterte of the Philippines placed the southern island of Mindanao under martial law on Tuesday after armed men belonging to two terrorist groups affiliated with the Islamic State killed a police officer and two soldiers, officials said.

The military and the police began a joint operation in the hopes of arresting Isnilon Hapilon, a leader of the Abu Sayyaf group, who was reportedly in the area and joined by an additional 100 militants belonging to a group called Maute.

As forces confronted the militants, the Islamists burned a school, several homes and a church.

The Islamist groups reportedly took over the Amai Pakpak Medical Center, hoisting the black banner of the Islamic State above the hospital.

By Tuesday night, the city of Marawi was under lockdown, as Maute snipers roamed the town and a series of explosions could be heard for miles around.

“We have enough troops and law enforcers on the ground, as well as the appropriate equipment to support our troops,” said Brig. Gen. Restituto Padilla. “We strongly urge the residents in these areas to remain calm and stay in their homes or evacuate to safer areas if they still can.”

Both groups have pledged allegiance to the Islamic State and vowed to carry out attacks across the Philippines, a predominantly Christian country.

“Maute fighters still occupy the main street. As of tonight, three government troops were killed,” said Delfin Lorenzana, the secretary of defense.
