Activist who attempts to burn flag is shut down by York County, PA

Harrisburg, PA – Pennsylvanian liberal activist Gene Stilp is on a mission: Burn flags at American courthouses to gain attention for his racial activism.

The flag is a personal creation of Stilp. It appears to be a confederate flag on one side, and a Nazi flag on the other side.

Gettysburg Flag burning – Adams County Courthouse

Stilp has burned his flag at numerous county courthouses down the east coast and throughout Central Pennsylvania.

Until today.

Today, Stilp’s campaign was thwarted by York County Commissioners who threatened him with arrest should he attempt the publicity stunt.

Stilp’s request was rejected because he failed to seek permission 60 days in advance and did not provide the $100 fee with his application. Those are two basic requirements to get authorization for any type of demonstration on county property.

Stilp is confident that he is within his legal rights and believes the county will eventually be forced to grant his request.

Stilp was outraged by the confederate memorabilia that is being sold in the battlefield shops of Gettysburg.

The flag burning ceremony was meet by protesters in Gettysburg, PA.

Camp Curtin, Harrisburg, PA:
The Union Rediscovered

Serving as the largest Federal Civil War base, Camp Curtin housed and trained over 300,000 troops, transported supplies to the front lines, operated a hospital, and prisoners-of-war jail. In the end, this encampment supported the Union victory in the American Civil War.

To celebrate the importance of its role in our National history, Harrisburg leaders will partner with the Civil War Museum to deem the original boundaries of this encampment as Hallowed Grounds, to procure funding to redevelop the Uptown Harrisburg Camp Curtin neighborhood, and to promote Central PA as a Civil War history tourist destination.

The goals of this project include:

  • To educate the community about Civil War history, as recorded and preserved by various institutions and resources.
  • To present vexillology (study of flags), the chronological military records and experiences of Union Civil War units raised at Camp Curtin, and their members roles as instruments in the Union victory in the Civil War.

Camp Curtin
  1. The project is to obtain these goals by replicating and displaying reproduction battle flags of the regiments that trained at Camp Curtin. This is to be a part of a community beautification initiative and subsequent public campaign to recognize the contributions and deeds of the Union soldiers in the Civil War. The project will sustain itself through the sale of reproduced flags, magnets, and ornaments to the general public.
  2. An online educational component will illustrate the activities, campaigns, engagements, and fully-detailed rosters of each regiment that trained at Camp Curtin. The service of these regiments is to be fully described-amid interactive photographs of the original battle flags. This project will require collaboration with reference materials and historians to ensure the full accuracy of compiled research. This dynamic soldier inventory is to provide the biographies, and service records for all soldiers that served in regiments that trained at Camp Curtin.
  3. As an in-kind gesture of outreach from the Harrisburg community to the Pennsylvanian, and other Northern towns where Camp Curtin Union Army regiments originated, a ceremonial visit will be made to every town to present the replicated battle flag of that towns Union Army regiment.

Gettysburg National Military Park issued several special use permits for First Amendment activities. The Sons of Confederate Veterans Mechanized Cavalry and the Maryland Sons of Confederate Veterans merged their two events to the location north of Meade’s Headquarters near 160 Taneytown Road from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
There were more than 250 participants with both groups. Ted Feild and John Pickens, both of Pennsylvania, were with the Sons of Confederate Veterans Mechanized Cavalry along with Ski Bischof, of Allentown, who helped organize the events with a Facebook event called “Support America and Her History.”
Another group, Maryland Sons of Confederate Veterans, led by Raymond Rooks, consisted of about 20 people, marched in formation from the North Carolina Memorial to the Virginia Memorial, with small ceremonies along the way, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Gettysburg College professor Scott Hancock was issued a permit and staged a counter-protest against the Confederate Flag by himself.
Hancock, who has held similar protests in the past, said he was pleased to see the pro-Confederate Flag groups have less turnout than expected. He said he came by himself and didn’t publicize what he was doing to keep things from getting out of hand.
“The less support that groups that I consider to tell falsehoods about the past and the present, the less support the better,” Hancock said. “My guess was that it would be subdued because this seems to be the pattern. But in today’s political climate there’s always potential.”

Tammy Lee – New York – NY STATE DIRECTOR FOR AMERICAN FREEDOM KEEPERS ‘Well for me being there I have many meanings. Besides the fact that I was there to help and assist in the protection of our history. I was also there to personally walk the history and see all the things that I have been reading about in books. For me I would have to say being a patriotic American is believing in your country and its values. Trying to love all of its people and sharing in a unity that keeps this country the greatest country in the world. Trying to remember that we have freedoms and we have a liberties that most don’t have. But being patriotic also means defending this country against all enemies which can be foreign and domestic. Preserving what made this country and preserving it for the future. We live in a day and age where everything is being attacked our history our liberties our rights and our freedoms and without people that are willing to stand up and risk everything to ensure that we keep those freedoms and liberties to me that is the basis of a true American patriot when you put your country before yourself I do sacrifice whatever needs to be sacrificed to preserve our country. My experience there the other day was very heavy and very overwhelming to be were so many people died so many people sacrifice the ultimate sacrifice so that we can move on and move forward and be free. Like so many other important places in this country they are taken for granted as far as what they represent now and it was just a very deep experience for me”

I respect the right to protest and march but I do not respect the tactics of the leftist groups. Destroying property, intimidation, and assault is not acceptable and should not be tolerated. I was there to represent Americas Most Patriotic rock band and my family. I believe we should stand up to these domestic terrorists, and their supporters. I am also willing to meet their level of aggression with a higher level. We, Patriots, must protect our way of life from all those that threaten it. So my feelings are this; protest and I respect it but cross the line, there will be consequences and repercussions.”

I receive more racism from people of my own color. When I listen to Lynard Skynard they give me dirty looks. When I act a certain way the words “you act white” are repeated by those who are look at me with disgust as if I’m betraying my people. I grew up in the hood growing up I’ve seen four people get shot and someone stab right outside my house. When they want to kill each other and then nobody says word. Snitches get stitches. But then when a white cop or another person commits the same crime they want to scream and post it on Facebook. It’s about having what they want. Not about what’s right.”

What we need to ask ourselves why would Americans take up arms against one another? The left say it was about slavery and that “the South was pissed because the North was going to take away their slaves”. That’s what they want you to believe. Does anybody in their right mind think that 50,000 men converged on one location to fight over slavery? All of us, ancestors of those people who fought and serve as a soldier, know the truth because we have been taught the truth handed down to us generation after generation and it is up to us to stand up and continue to speak the truth particularly when we are faced with such blatant lies. The Civil War was not fought over slavery…The Civil War was caused due to the aggression of the north. and the African slaves that fought with the Confederate Army were for the most part all free men, where as the African slaves fighting for the north were forced to fight for the union army. Because the North won the Civil war or as I like to call it, “The War of Northern Aggression”, history has been misrepresented and re-written to further their agenda and it is all to apparent, specially in today’s world. That agenda was as detrimental to all Americans as our ancestors said it was 154 years ago.

Now I will stand behind you, before you and beside you in everything you stand for and will do so as long as I am alive and as long as I can. Today we stand on hallowed ground and beneath our very feet lies the blood of Patriotic soldiers of both the North and the South who fought for causes they both believed in and believed were just. We must never let the people who died on this Battleground to have died in vain.”

13
Dan Gray – Writer and Speaker
Dan Gray – Writer and Speaker. My name is Dan Gray. That doesn’t sound Jewish, but trust me, I am. So, now you may be asking why a Jewish guy went to speak to folks rallying in support of keeping Confederate monuments? I’ll tell you. It’s about America. About History. About Truth. You see, some of my family came to this country just ahead of the terrible wave of violence that swept across Europe in WWII. That swept the hundreds of my relatives who stayed behind into concentration camps, to their deaths. Out of all those, only two survived. We embraced America, not for what ills it had done in the past, (and like any country, there were many). We became Americans because of how the People continually rose above the sorrows in their wake, to constantly make America a better place, closer after every crisis to that Shining City on a Hill that our Founders meant us to be. What happened to my family is far from unique. Besides Jews, Nazis exterminated an even greater percentage of the world Gypsy population. They killed millions upon millions of innocent civilians, everywhere they went. And it wasn’t just Nazis. Soviets may have been less efficient, but they killed even more than the Nazis did. ChiComs were cruder still, but topped the Soviet death toll. In countries all over the world, since WWII, murdering dictators and their minions have dealt death wholesale, whatever their alleged ideology. Some, like Idi Amin, basically HAD no ideology other than raw power, and the effects of tertiary syphilis. ISIS today has yet to reach the numbers of even a Pol Pot, but it’s not for lack of trying. In each case, the victims were different, but the perpetrators were really much the same. There were two things every one of these murdering hordes had in common. How they started, and what they did just prior to their atrocities. They began with violent rhetoric that soon blossomed into violent thuggery, and in each and every case, they sought to destroy history. From Nazi book burning, to Soviet revisionism (so sadly comical in their crude cutting and pasting of textbooks), to ChiComs’ Cultural Revolution, that not only killed millions, but almost destroy the millennia-old culture of China, they sought to erase the past. ISIS destroys Buddhist shrines, treasures of world heritage. The Muslim Brotherhood, during their brief reign in Egypt under the auspices of Obama, even made plans to level the pyramids. I kid you not. The Pyramids, last surviving wonders of the ancient world, blown to dust for worship of Pharaohs and Sun Worshipers who came thousands of years before Islam. Why? What threat did the stories of those long dead present to tyrants? History is not a boring subject we were forced to memorize in school, back when they actually taught it. It is nothing more or less than the stories of people. Those that came before us were much like us, and faced much the same sorts of problems that we do today. How they did what they did, and why, informs us of our very natures, and points the way towards present dangers and possible solutions. The news is simply history that is unfolding before us in the now. We begin to wake to the dangers of false news narratives, but fail to realize the horror of losing our past. George Santayana famously said that those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it. Gettysburg has been the subject of more histories than any other battle. As long as those historical analysis are based on actual facts, there is plenty of room for debate as to the whys of it. We are free to make our own interpretations of what was, and this educates and elucidates us. It tells us who we are. When we watch news, we must demand that same adherence to fact, even though there may be many ways to understand it. Without knowledge we can count on as correct, we cannot be expected to make good decisions for our future; for the future of our children. And that is why those who would rule us must destroy our past. It’s not enough to lie about what is, or even to force us into the gas chambers. As long as our stories remain, there will always be the spark of rebellion, the trace of wisdom. And tyrants cannot sit safely upon their thrones of skulls, knowing that we still know. Today, across the United States of America, we are under dire threat. First they learned to lie to us. Next they started assaulting us. Now they come for our past. For good or ill, those that came before us did what they did. We would be fools to give up the lessons of history without a fight. No matter whether we just arrived, fought on either side in the Civil War, or can trace ancestry back to the very beginning, our history belongs to us all. It even belongs to foreigners who study it intently seeking lessons to help free themselves from tyranny, today. Do not doubt the determination of those who oppose Liberty today. But they should not doubt our own resolve, either, shown today on these hallowed fields by our daring presence. And none who read History should think that this nation of ours is split 50-50, that a new Civil War is inevitable. For despite what certain ‘leaders’ would have us believe, with few exceptions we all have heart. We care for each other. The only difference that matters now, is whether we know the facts of what we’ve gone through to get to this critical time. If we know what was, we can determine for ourselves what will be. And so, while I stand willing and staunch between thugs of any stripe and peaceful people who only want to be heard, I cannot and will not castigate half of America as evil, or stupid. They are merely men and women who have not learned. And if we mean to prevent upheaval, to reform America once again to adhere even closer to her ideal, it falls upon us to listen, to care, and to educate our fellows, so they to may understand.

MSM – YOUR BIAS IS SHOWING

The biased media continues to peddle narratives of the newly recognized terrorist organization AntiFA, while discrediting the Patriotic supporters of Trump and America.

Main Stream Media – Your Bias is Showing

By: Amy Thomas & Sean Guay – The Sunbury American/ Harrisburg100

The narrative of the main stream media has been overwhelmingly clear over the past two weeks as reports of the domestic terrorist group known as AntiFA surfaced as to their intent on desecrating monuments and burning flags at the 154th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg.

Several outlets have been in touch with the domestic terrorist group, including Dustin Levy with The Evening Sun.

In his article he states that in an email exchange:
“The rumors about the Gettysburg protest stemmed from a fake Facebook page called “Harrisburg AntiFA.” “This page is not run by antifascists but by alt-right trolls attempting to discredit AntiFA, create confusion, and attempt to stir violence,” the email stated.
Furthermore, AntiFA took exception to the allegation that they would be desecrating graves, especially in Gettysburg, “a site of great historical importance in the struggle of oppression,” the email said. “That battle was a turning point in the war that eventually lead to the freeing of millions of slaves,” Central PA AntiFA said. “The Confederacy and their ideology were dealt a resounding defeat at that battle, as fascism itself will one day be defeated by the will of all people to be free from oppression.”

CNN will not use the word AntiFA in its reporting, and the other MSM peddle a narrative developed through the terrorist organization
So when did we start giving a domestic terrorist group any credibility? And yes, according to New Jersey Department of Homeland Security dated June 12th, 2017 they stated Anarchist Extremists: AntiFA – Domestic Terrorism: Anti-fascist groups, or “AntiFA,” are a subset of the anarchist movement and focus on issues involving racism, sexism, and anti-Semitism, as well as other perceived injustices.

Where is main stream media going with this? Yet another example of biased reporting was from Andy Campbell with The Huffington Post.

In his article written with Christopher Mathias, he states “A few hundred armed militia group members, Sons of Confederate Veterans, Ku Klux Klaners, supporters of President Donald Trump, and other self-described patriots descended upon the Gettysburg battlefield Saturday to defend the site’s Confederate symbols from phantom activists with the violent far-left group Antifa.

During the peaceful rally, he interviewed several people then went on to write a piece depicting the individuals in a negative light and even further adding insult to injury, incorrectly spelling their names, what groups they were with then going so far as to post pictures of innocent children that were later taken down due to the outrage from the public.

What happened to news being just that….NEWS? When did reporting the facts become a thing of the past? Sensationalism, site traffic, click bait, is this what we really want to read in our newspapers or see in our social media feeds? No, it is not.

Protests planned at Gettysburg battlefield this weekend

The Bloody Angle on the Union lines where Pickett’s Charge was repulsed on the third day of fighting on July 3, 1863. The angle in the stone wall is considered the high-water mark of the Confederacy.

Officials in Gettysburg are bracing for protests this weekend coinciding with the 154th anniversary of the Civil War battle.

The Sons of Confederate Veterans and  a group called Real 3% Risen have received special use permits for 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday in a special section north of Meade’s Headquarters.

“We make accommodations for people who want to exercise their First Amendment rights,” said Katie Lawhon, a spokeswoman for  Gettysburg National Military Park.

Officials also are aware of plans for other rallies that have been announced on social media but have not obtained permits, and there are unconfirmed reports that anarchists plan to burn Confederate flags during the anniversary of the battle.

Lawhon said the park is working with the U.S. Park Police, the Pennsylvania State Police, and local law enforcement to keep order during the weekend.

“Our goal is to ensure that public safety and visitor safety is number one and that park resources are preserved,” she said.

Besides the two permitted protests, Civil War reenactors from the Maryland Sons of Confederate Veterans also received a permit for a “site specific” march starting at 10 a.m. from the North Carolina Memorial to the Veterans Memorial, where they will hold a ceremony, Lawhon said. Another popular private reenactment festival is also scheduled about two miles from the park, she said.

Reports that the anti-fascist group Antifa plans to burn Confederate flags and desecrate graves have prompted calls on social media for other groups to gather in Gettysburg to counter those protesters.

The anniversary of the battle, which raged from July 1 to July 3, 1863, comes at a time when there is a growing movement to remove Confederate symbols from public spaces.

“There just seems to be a focus on that issue, when there has not been in the past,” Lawhon said.

There are no plans to change any of the 1,300 monuments on the park grounds, she said.

In St. Louis,  a controversial Confederate monument in a city park is set to be removed and placed in storage until it a permanent location can be found in a Civil War museum, battlefield, or cemetery.

In New Orleans, four confederate statues — of  Gens. Robert E. Lee and  P.G.T. Beauregard, of President Jefferson Davis, and one dedicated to those who opposed Reconstruction — were removed from public viewing.

In Orlando, a statue depicting “Johnny Reb” will be relocated from Lake Eola Park to a section of a local cemetery dedicated to Confederate veterans.

With no permits to protest in Gettysburg, AntiFA threatens violence, flag burning and damage to graves on July 1st

The White Knights issued the following WWF style challenge to AntiFA, which has been called racially derogatory, outright offensive, with similar intolerance that is comparable with the tactics of the AntiFA thugs.

AntiFA plans militant activity against American patriots in Gettysburg on July 1st

Police prepare for Nationwide rioting on July 2nd, as Antfa has announced its plans to demonstrate against America, President Trump, and his supporters.

Urgent Call to Arms:

AntiFA Ideology:

Some interesting points made on the tactics of AntiFA:

  • AntiFA groups regularly call venues and threaten violence to get events canceled.
  • When AntiFA groups get events canceled, the media reports on it and ties the inviting group to the alt-right.
  • The last few times this has happened, it was not established AntiFA groups that called in the threats. Instead, the groups had formed literally just a few days before.
  •  It is entirely possible (perhaps even likely) that the alt-right is creating fake AntiFA groups to get their own events canceled because it generates media.
  • Getting events shut down also allows the alt-right to play the victim and get sympathy from libertarians who value free speech.
  •  When an event is canceled or moved or rescheduled, it can cause significant logistical headaches and financial hardship for the event organizer — or the state party.

Some other points made about AnitFA:

  • Most of the AnitFA don’t actually vote
  • The AnitFA never have proper permits for their hate speech
  • When they do have permit, they always end up in the streets leaving the designated area
  • They’re looking for a fight or to destroy things, so the police just follow them around
  • When AntiFA alone come to town, they always do it late at night
  • AntiFA throw stuff at the police horses
  • They carry all kinds of weapons and throw firecrackers

AntiFA to Burn Flag and Desecrate Graves in Gettysburg

Harrisburg100 on Facebook

Update: AntiFA forced to retreat as Patriots Secure Gettysburg and Restore American Spirit

“ANTIFA” are planning on holding a rally at Gettysburg National Battlefield on July 1st, asks it’s members to “Bring and Burn Confederate Flags”.

By: Amy Lynne Thomas – The Sunbury American and Northumberland County Journal

Over the past few weeks, several US cities have been a hotbed of controversy over the removal of several Confederate monuments. After decades standing sentinel over New Orleans, the last of four Confederate monuments have been removed after being labeled as “Monuments of Racism and Hate”. New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu said of the removal of his city’s monuments: “To literally put the Confederacy on a pedestal in our more prominent places—in honor—is an inaccurate recitation of our full past, is an affront to our present and it is a bad prescription for our future”. The next state to follow in the footsteps in the movement is Arizona, where leaders call for the swift removal of six Confederate monuments around the state.

download

Most recently, “Antifa” protesters in Texas have demanded the removal of a 100-year-old statue and “any other landmark that bears the name of Sam Houston”. Houston, one of the founders of Texas, was a staunch Unionist and denounced the creation of the Confederacy. But Houston owned slaves, so he’s been added to the purge list, which now includes: Andrew Jackson, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and Woodrow Wilson, among many others.

Susan Platt, a candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, called for the Commonwealth to take down Confederate monuments and rename Confederate-themed highways and public buildings. In her political announcement, she states “I don’t believe it is right to celebrate an act of treason against the United States of America, a war that was waged for the purpose of maintaining slavery”.

In an online video,  Right Wing News stated that the “City of Baltimore wants to follow in New Orleans footsteps and remove several Confederate monuments”; including monuments to General Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson and ones to soldiers, sailors, and women.

Many have asked, “How long til this moves North?” To answer that question, the statue of a former mayor, Orville Hubbard, was removed from the front of the old City Hall building in Dearborn, Michigan and spent 17 months in storage before being placed on the lawn of the Dearborn Historical Museum. Beyond his name and dates of service, the statue’s new site will not provide any information about Hubbard and his views that made Dearborn “a symbol of the deep-seated racism of the North,” the New York Times said in 1969.

A local group of self-proclaimed anti-fascism activists called “ANTIFA” are planning on holding a rally at Gettysburg National Battlefield on July 1st in protest of President Trump and asks it’s members to “Bring and Burn Confederate Flags”. The reasoning behind why this group picked the date and location for their rally is for the importance Gettysburg played in the American Civil War. The Battle of Gettysburg started on July 1, 1863, when Lee’s Army of Northern Virginia met General George Meade’s Union Army of the Potomac. During the three-day battle, about 165,000 soldiers clashed in and around the small town of Gettysburg. When the Battle of Gettysburg was over on July 3, 1863, 51,000 soldiers were casualties (killed, wounded, captured or missing) in what remains the largest battle ever fought in North America. There are approximately 1,328 monuments, markers and memorials that stand in both the cemetery and battlefield to commemorate the Union and Confederate troops who fought there.

In removing any monument or marker of history, to what purpose does that serve? History in every corner of the world while oftentimes ugly and heinous, still serves a purpose. It is a remembrance to learning from our past and not condemning ourselves to repeat it. To some, it is a heritage that we tell future generations of who they are, where they come from and our American history is not a stumbling block but a stepping stone to a better future.
